S7 symbolic request of internal variables - Data acquiring and recording with free operand/symbol selection from SIMATIC S7 PLCs via Profibus or Profinet

• Free operand/symbol selection in the address range of SIMATIC S7 PLCs via Profibus or Profinet

Profibus:

• Profibus slave communication via ibaCOM-L2B card:
  To request values and to aquire data for recording are done via Profibus DP
• Profibus slave communication via ibaBM-DP / ibaBM-DPM-S bus monitor
  (not with ibaBM-DPM64 or ibaBM-DPM-S-64):
  - Requesting values from SIMATIC S7 via S7 communication (MPI,Profibus,TCP/IP)
  - Acquiring data for recording via Profibus DP with datatransfer to ibaPDA computer via fiber optic link
• Per slave several Requestblocks (FC+DB) must be implemented into the S7 program for to manage the communication
• If more signals per CPU are required the number of used slaves per CPU can be increased
• Redundancy mode for ibaBM-DP/ibaBM-DPM-S is supported for the usage of S7-400H systems

Profinet:

• Profinet device communication via ibaBM-PN bus monitor
  - Requesting values from SIMATIC S7 via S7 communication (MPI,Profibus,TCP/IP)
  - Acquiring data for recording via Profinet with datatransfer to ibaPDA computer via fiber optic link
• Per device several Requestblocks (FB+DB) must be implemented into the S7 program for to manage the communication

Special Remarks:

• Requires an ibaPDA basic license
• For Profibus either an ibaCOM-L2B card or an ibaBM-DP /ibaBM-DPM-S bus monitor connected to an ibaFOB-D card is required
• For Profinet an ibaBM-PN bus monitor connected to an ibaFOB-D card is required
• For any re-order the license number (dongle) of the exsting ibaPDA system must be provided for to generate a new license setting for the used dongle
